Runners laced up their shoes last Saturday, above, for the Jay Celebrate Freedom 5K Road Race and 1 Mile Fun Run, the last one in Bray-Hendricks Park before the renovation. City officials are eyeing a park opening date of early July 2023 and next year's run will be part of the new park's grand opening and fireworks show.
