Flomaton resident born with heart issues
A benefit for Flomaton resident Gentry Garrett will be held Saturday, July 30, at O'Bannon Park in Brewton with a full day of fun, games and food.
Gentry, 2, was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and has spent most of his life in the hospital. He has endured two open heart surgeries and now is facing the possibility of a heart and/or liver transplant.
Events will kickoff at 9 a.m. with a benefit ride featuring motorcycles and antique cars. There will also be an antique and late model car show, with a $20 entry fee.
