Gunfire began at 12 noon Saturday at Jennings Park in Brewton during the reenactment of the Battle of Burnt Corn. The original battle occurred on July 27, 1813 just north of Brewton and is said to be the first battle of the Creek War of 1813-1814. See more on Page 13A.
