FedEx driver is jailed for drugs

Route delayed with Flomaton traffic stop

Residents expecting packages from FedEx Monday likely saw some delays after the FedEx driver was arrested in Flomaton on marijuana and driving under the influence charges.

Stanley Denard Baker, 23, of Evergreen was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana II and driving under the influence of marijuana.

Flomaton police initiated a traffic stop on Baker's FedEx vehicle for failure to signal Monday on Highway 31 at the Tom Thumb.

Police stated marijuana was found inside the vehicle and Baker was under the influence while driving.
