Pensacola man is arrested in Atmore on drug and DUI charges
A Pensacola man found sitting inside his running vehicle talking to himself was arrested by Atmore police and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of controlled substances.
Ryan Rais Greene, 29, 29 Mohawk Trail, was arrested June 20 after Atmore police responded to 1812 South Main St., in reference to a suspicious person sitting in a parked car ‘acting strangely’.
According to reports from the Atmore Police Department, officers made contact with Greene, who was parked next to the roadway with the vehicle running. Officers said Greene was talking to himself when they approached him in the driver’s seat.
Officers began speaking with Greene and stated he seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
Police officers reported they observed loose pills on the dashboard and a glass pipe commonly used to ingest narcotics on the console when Greene was removed from the vehicle.
Reports state they discovered several Cathinone pills and the glass pipe contained residue which tested positive for methamphetamine. Court records also state officers found a vapor pen which contained .5ml of a liquid substance that tested positive for Cathinone.
Greene was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton. On June 23, Greene was issued a bond of $25,000.
