Flomaton Lions hold several fundraisers each year to benefit Flomaton High School’s LEO Scholarships and other community projects. There will be a booth at this year’s Railroad Junction Day
The Flomaton Lions welcome anyone interested in becoming a lion to come to a meeting at 6 p.m., the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly at the Flomaton Community Center.
“We are excited about the upcoming year and serving our community,” said Flomaton Lions Club President Jaye Jaye Hagan. “As Lions, we have five points of servivce that we make sure to meet: childhood cancer, diabetes, the environment, vision and hunger. We also believe in helping train our youth and give them educational opportunities. That is the reason we charter the Boy Scout Troop and Pack and also the Flomaton High School Leo Club. We provide FHS graduating seniors scholarships totaling $2,500. That is the reason we ask the community to buy pancake plates so we can continue this effort to pay it forward and invest in the youth of our future.”
