Repton man faces multiple charges

Drugs, guns found following a search

A Repton man was arrested on multiple charges after Escambia County (Ala.) sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call on Oct. 29.

Deshawn Jermaine McMillan, 21, 192 Holman St., was charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol, unlawful possession of marijuana I, possessing a firearm with an altered identification, obstruction of justice for providing a false identification and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records state when deputies responded to 4574 Foshee Road, lot 7 in Brewton and upon execution of a search warrant, McMillan was found hiding under a cabinet in the kitchen of the residence.

Reports state several firearms and marijuana were located.

Court records state officers found three AR-15 style weapons and one Derringer .22-caliber pistol inside the house. Records also state officers seized two baggies of marijuana and sandwich bags commonly used for packaging marijuana.

Officers also reported finding a 5.56 caliber AR-15 style pistol where the identification marks had been removed.

Records also state McMillan gave a false name after he was found in the cabinet attempting to evade deputies during the execution of the search warrant.

McMillan was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton and his being held on $75,000 bond.
