Michigan man gets $1 million bond for having illegal gun
A Detroit, Mich., man traveling down Interstate 65 heading to Mississippi to visit relatives was diverted to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton on multiple drug charges, that included trafficking.
Reginald Phillip Shorter, 48, from Detroit, was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
During an appearance before Escambia County District Judge Eric Coale, Judge Coale set Shorter's bond at $1 million.
