$1 million bond set for trafficking spice

Two other Atmore residents jailed for drugs

An Atmore man is being held on $1 million bond on several charges that include trafficking synthetic drugs and attempting to the flee police.

Kendrick Rihien Bivins, 22, 35 Fisher Lane, was charged with trafficking drugs, attempting to elude and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to court records, Atmore police reported that on July 22, Bivins was in possession of 84 grams of spice and ran on foot away from a law enforcement officer attempting to make the arrest. He was also charged with the misdemeanor paraphernalia charge after officers reported finding clear plastic bags used to contain drugs.

On July 23, Atmore police arrested Kendarrius Bivins, 21, also of 35 Fisher Lane, Atmore, and charged him with unlawful possession of marijuana I and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to court records, at or near the 35 Fisher Lane residence, Kendarrius Bivens possessed about 52 grams of marijuana. Officers also seized baggies used to contain marijuana.

The same day, Lea Elizabeth Odom, 19, 70 Madison Lane, Atmore, was also arrested at 35 Fisher Lane and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana I and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after officers reported finding abut 52 grams of marijuana and plastic bags used to store marijuana.

All three suspects were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton. Kendarrius Bivens was given a $15,000 bond and Odom was given a $10,000 bond.
