As the new school year began at Coastal Alabama Community College, students on the Brewton campus are learning history inside and outside the classroom.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, members of the Coastal Alabama Historical Society (CAHS) traveled to Fort Mims in Baldwin County for the annual re-enactment of the Battle of Fort Mims, a major event in the Creek War. With the sponsorship of the Escambia County Historical Society, the trip included a stop at the historic Stagecoach Cafe in Stockton.
