Cocaine and meth seized in arrests
Atmore police narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at 1837 Rockaway Creek Road Nov. 26 which led to the arrest of an Atmore man on multiple drug charges after officers reported finding methamphetamine, Clonazepam and items used to ingest narcotics inside the residence.
Robert Edward Lowrey, 42, who lived at the Rockaway Creek Road residence, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
According to police reports and court documents, Lowrey was the only person inside the residence when officers executed the warrant at about 12:50 p.m.
Reports state officers seized several grams of meth, one Clonazepam pill which was not in a prescription bottle and paraphernalia that included a pink glass pipe, a clear plastic bag and a prescription pill bottle.
Lowrey was later given a $5,000 bond.
Meth, pot found
About 8:50 a.m. on Nov. 29, Atmore police responded to Walmart in reference to a loss prevention employee observing a female switching price tags that later led to her arrest for drugs.
The suspect, identified as Ryan Godwin, 37, of Cantonment, was stopped by the loss prevention employee before leaving the store, according to reports from the Atmore Police Department.
The report states police officers were informed that someone was in the parking lot in a vehicle and was possibly waiting for Godwin. The officers approached the vehicle and reported observing narcotics in plain view and conducted a search.
Officers reported finding a small amount of marijuana, a small amount of cocaine, a small amount of meth, a baggie of THC gummies and items used to ingest narcotics.
Godwin was charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana II, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property IV.
She was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
