Cursing on phone, cussing at the police

A Brewton woman was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication following an incident outside the Flomaton Public Library at noon on Dec. 27 after yelling profanities that threats into her cell phone and then profanity toward police officers when they arrived.

Lindsey Marie Hanks, 43, 365 Stick City Road, was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center.

According to police reports staff inside library called the police concerning a disorderly person near the front steps of the library.

Police stated when officers arrived Hanks was near the entrance to the library talking on her cell phone cursing and yelling and making threats.

The library staff reported two juveniles were inside the library at the time and they were moved to a secure location within the library.

When police approached Hanks they reported she was uncooperative and was told she had to leave. She began cursing the police and making obscene hand gestures toward the officers.

Officers were able to restrain Hanks and take her into custody.
